Got to the yard today to find my truck still in the shop. Had to take a loaner. Pete 587 with that Eaton 10spd auto. It’s at least better than the first Pete I had here. In Knoxville tonight. Will unload/load at 10am then head for home. Takes slightly longer in a 65 mph truck. I should have my KW back for Thursday.

 

43 degrees and a cold wind driven rain... Now that's not the beginning and some cheesy novel that's the Waco triangle... Pick up a load in the morning and deliver it in Shawnee Oklahoma tomorrow late morning... Somehow, I don't expect it to be any warmer in Oklahoma but maybe the rain will have stopped

 

Hard day (actually two in a row) at the office... I need a nip of the smooth refresher... OKC to Arizona, Phoenix area... it's on I 10 somewhere... May have to slide up to Vegas... Abscond some of Keeker's good wine before she gets home.

She will know she is a victim of a rooster raid... broken stemware and tail feathers in the easy chair... but it will be too late... rooster will have flown.

 

Hang in there kiddo... this outfit is good at getting us home for holidays... they bobtailed me 600 miles on Christmas Eve and I made it by Christmas afternoon.

Another time they rented an SUV for four of us Florida drivers trapped in Charlotte...

Yeah. No complaining about the cold. South Beloit, IL tonight. Supposed to get down to 15 here. The good news is that my unload/reload is already done. I can hit the road before sunrise, although getting away from Chicago is still going to be a challenge. I’ll make my delivery that is 20 miles from the yard and call it a week. Saturday morning at 11 is the “Town Hall Meeting” with the new ownership.

 

Sounds to me like that might be some free coffee and donuts on Saturday.

 

It’s supposed to be a full blown bbq type event. We can bring anyone in our family too.
