CFI Driver's What's Your 20? (2017 edition)

Hit the road at 4, deliver and empty by 6...planners do some genius planning and tell me at 11:30 that I'm driving all night. Sleep at noon, up at 17:00.

Power report says too many trucks, the load goes every day at the same time. Geniuses say it's a good load to get me home early.

Facepalm? Do ya think?

Thanks, but you missed the point. The point is the load goes every day. Could have gotten real sleep and taken the tomorrow load instead of the today load.

oh I get it....

 

was chased all morning through Oklahoma by the storm.
Was supposed to deliver at 11 here in Springfield MO
Got here at 10:15 like a good little trucker. Guard shacks says appointment isn't until 1 for whatever reason.
Cool 3 hours downtime until then, whatever.
1 comes around. I call.
"We're an hour and a half behind. So it's gonna be a while still". Cool it's whatevs..
The storm caught up to me again.
And now I pray that they delay me even further so I don't have to get soaked -_-

 

Day 2 of orientation done! We both killed the backing and driving tests. I guess it really is like riding a bike..a big deadly bike....anyway! Free taco casa for lunch! Love the lunches they give you here over the lunch at Jopmo orientation!

Got paid for the first two days of orientation, had no idea they bumped orientation pay up to $60 a day from the old $25 a day.

 

I see there’s a tornado on the ground near Springfield @3pm. Be safe brother!

 

Are you guys in that lot across the street backing on on the yard?

 

We were there earlier..we did our backing from like 0900-1000. But yeah we used that lot across the street.
