CFI Driver's What's Your 20? (2017 edition)

Got home at 11:30 this morning. Off until Monday. Son’s Police Academy graduation is tomorrow. His surprise party is Saturday.

Monroe, OH down toward Cincinnati and head west bound. They waited all day to give me a load.

 

Sun is so bright in Ft. Myers, I find myself constantly changing from regular to sunglasses.
So warm in the daytime, very inconvenient to have to change clothes as it cools after sundown.
Miami Heat blew a 12 point lead while I was sitting in the stands with Rooster Jr.
There is a shortage of "medium" stone crab claws (a local delicacy)...have to order large.

Seriously, the weather is gorgeous, sunny every day, Miami Heat did lose, but who cares, I was at an NBA game with my son, there is a shortage of "mediums" who cares...shrimp, grouper, and Mahi are plentiful...ahhhh

Long neck bottle, let go of my hand! Golf on Monday, Will be back to work Tuesday.

Jopmo called, asked if I wanted to come back 2 days early and do Michaels Dedicated for two weeks. Hmmm, short trips, 2500 guarantee, and off Christmas, Christmas eve, and New Year. Tempting, but time off for me means a hotel stay...it would have cost me money as opposed to OTR.

 

I'll be Flying in Monday to see my Mom and brother for a few days. She lives off Alico and he lives in the Cape. Looking forward to shorts weather and some Yuengling!!!

 

We have a large supply of both. I tend to overindulge in both, but I promise to leave you some!!!

 

That would be a sweet deal if you didn’t stay in a hotel. That would get a bit boring for me unless you had something to do during those off days. Enjoy the warm weather while it’s there.

 

I re-thought it and confirmed my original decision... the week before and after Christmas are busy weeks, in southern shopping centers, with all kinds of plants and trees, since they don't need room for snow plowing... I think the most respected driver did good.

 

Ten at night,74 degrees sitting in an outside bar... having dinner... cheeseburger in paradise....big kosher pickle and a cold draft beer...

Jewell, the "others" are going to pipe in real quick when they see this post of mine.
Fair enough; it won't sink in at the moment... just remember what I'm about to say in about 4 weeks from now.. and again in about 3 months.. and yet again in about 6 months...
You made a big mistake signing up as a driver for CFI: $350.00- $900.00 gross per week for up to 100 of work per week. Every week.
And contrary to what you are going to let yourself be led to believe; no, it does not get better with time.
Every moment that you devote any of your time to this company, you are being cheated.
Try reading all the past posts on CFI forums from oh so many other drivers that have jumped ship for the very reasons that I have listed above.
