APU is still questionable. Should be a relaxing night......or not. Going to try to deliver an hour early in the morning. I need to be 3 hrs from my delivery for a 8am pick up which is one of two. As soon as I get those on, it’s head for home as fast as I can. Won’t get there until Saturday.

    paul_4lp and RoadRooster Thank this.

APU worked all night. Sitting at delivery waiting for them to start unloading me. Been here 30 minutes already. No other trucks here. Today was going to be kind of a wasted day anyway. I have 950 miles to drive with two pickups and a drop on the other end Saturday. It’s a balmy 15F here in Wentzville, MO. Feels much warmer compared to home.

Took two hours to get unloaded. Got to my first pick up with 10 minutes to spare. While I was there I found out that I didn’t have to go to the second pick up. Brazil, IN tonight. 6 hrs to destination tomorrow.

A few inches of snow on the ground in Rocky Mount... almost none 50 miles west of there in Raleigh... debating on route to Greenville, IL... the WV turnpike is 130
Miles shorter than I 40 to I 24 to I 57, but steeper climbs and tolls.

Fuel and routing suggested I 40... I guess I'll check the weather in the morning and then decide.

From what I’ve seen, they salt the heck out of the turnpike. When I went through there earlier this week, the road was really white.

I went through there one time while it was snowing. There were salt trucks everywhere. No worries about slipping and sliding.

I hate running to Waco because I always end up doing 2 or 3 store runs.
