I’m working. I loaded at Michaels late last night two stops for tomorrow and will head home after that.

Flying J in Waco...no, not trapped in the triangle... heading to Laredo. Just stopped early... figure I would mess with Austin and San Antonio in the wee hours, Rooster time...

I just got pre-planned for Laredo to Wilsonville Oregon.
Let's 3900 miles for the week on the first week that we go back to weekly paychecks... Next week won't be so good because it doesn't start till Tuesday or Wednesday.
I guess I'll be watching the weather maps a little closer than I do when I'm on the I-10 fleet. And 7 years with the company I think I've been to Oregon five times... Three of them will have been in the last 3 months...paul_4lp Thanks this. -
Rooster, where's Cargo?
RoadRooster Thanks this. -

It is official my dispatcher doesn’t give a crap about her drivers. They swapped my dispatcher from Jerilyn to Jennifer. I called to see where driver was at 4 times because he still wasn’t there at midnight. Couldn’t make on time delivery so I wouldn’t swap. She wanted to chew me out for it and I told her I don’t need a micromanager. I told her she wasn’t gonna treat me like a kid and if she had a problem with the way I done stuff I would quit. I wasn’t gonna get home and I’ve been gone since the day after Christmas
paul_4lp, Cw5110, mitrucker and 1 other person Thank this. -
Edwin, buddy, pal...if you relay the load, and it's late because it got to you late, you don't get a service failure. They will dispatch you with an ETA that you can make.
If you are highlighted for home, they may have had another load stacked on you that you weren't aware of. Turning down the relay might have kept you from the load that was taking you home.
If the late relay made you miss that load that would have taken you home, they will find you another one.
I don't remember the numbers, but if you've been highlighted for x number of days, ( perhaps 8 or 9) they will deadhead you home.
Let the system work, it works pretty well.
I know it seems like everything is trying to keep you from getting home... I've been snowed in, it made my delivery late, it made me miss the load that would have taken me home, so they deadheaded me 600 miles to get me there on time.
It does work... don't refuse loads. -
