Yeah no you don't want to run those over Donner. I see at least 3 or 4 of them each trip over they don't do well on bare pavement. The ##### of what CalTrans is doing to that highway is criminal they just redid miles of that road last summer and you really can't tell. And they aren't slowing down the 4wd awd cars that are flying by. Unfortunately I head over that pass 3 to 5 times a week.
If it wasn't for the fantastic contract I have with the manufacturer that I haul for I'd not cross it when it shows. Sorry TLDR but today going over really sucked lol

 

Full chain up required over Donner summit at ze moment.

Fortunately, I found a quiet spot to park in Applegate. Tomorrow will be a better day.

My sister lives in eagle and she says it’s a complete cluster!

 

The weigh station just west of Grant Junction on west bound i70 said there’s 1000 trucks up there all over the place.
