changing an out of state cdl for Ohio cdl

    It all depends on whether the state your are trying to transfer your CDL has similiar guidelines regarding testing requirements as the state which you were initially licensed.

    For instance in my region (Northeast), If you received your CDL in Maine and try to transfer it to a Massachusetts CDL, you have to take the whole test over again. The state of Maine's CDL test is not nearly extensive as the Massachusetts CDL test.

    It's funny when I think about it but the CDL was supposed to standarize the CDL across the board in every state! Now look at all the different guide lines in every state! Ya just gotta love "government programs!"
