    I deliver in Granite City twice a week. I use the McKinley Bridge. Coming out of Illinois into Missouri to get onto I-70, man that’s a rough hood right there. I come through there all hours but wouldn’t ever want to stop.

    The article puts at lot of emphasis on race and violence, but those problems are not why Cario is a ghost town. The floods in the 1990s, changing labor requirements for farms, and a complete lack of other industry is.

    Isn't really a lot of parking in that area anyway and what little there is fills up quick with locals and P@G traffic .
    Most of LTL companies fled hall st. Years ago for st.Charles county .
    In my brewery days in the late 80s it wasn't bad but I'd avoid spending the night just about anywhere near downtown st.Louis these days ....unless in a secured area .
