Avoid OTR it is downright horrible and you will lose your mind.
I used to be a very well focused intelligent person, until truck driving zombified me of being able to use my brain like it should be.
Being surrounded by uneducated people at truck stops. Truckers kept wondering why somebody like me isn't in college. Yep.
Class A permit in hand, now what to do with it. . . . . .

Looking down your nose at others could be adding to your isolation.
I personally find no more uneducated people in professional driving careers than in any other jobs I've worked. I'd have to say I find many more wise people in this profession than many others.
Wisdom doesn't come from intelligence or education. A portion of wisdom is often a gift and the rest comes from the school of hard knocks. Just because you aren't cut out for this profession hardly means it has anything to do with those in it.
If you feel you are above a job, you will obviously be miserable there whether you are right or wrong. -
I have a couple of degrees and could have a few more in a years time. I have made close to 80k a year in a few differant jobs. I go to cdl school soon and I already know that driving a big rig will take considerable skill. The only people I look down on is ignorant fkrs and you can find them anywhere.
