Unless you have room to park both tractor & trailer at your home, you must park at a secure location and get yourself home. Thinking of parking at a truck stop...no no no. You are responsible for tractor, trailer, and if any cargo is in it period. Now bare in mind - you're on hometime, not baby setting the truck.

ANY damages that happen to equipment are your responsibility and will be billed accordingly. Ha, what a joke. Oh, and this is for company driver's. Needless to say...they can shove all that! Thought i'd share this with prospects looking at this place....don't do it!

Sorry pal but I'm with the company on this one. I don't want any of my fine vehicles parked just anywhere, theft and vandalism is rampant everywhere. BYOB&CBD leasing must approve any parking while the leasee is on home time.

If your name is on the title I wouldn't care if you parked in downtown Patterson NJ with the keys in the ignition.

Good luck with all that..Since this is their practice then they shouldn't run ads for "company" driver's.

So is it unreasonable that the company asks you to park in a secure area? What if it was your equipment, wouldn’t you ask for the same?

To sum all this up...they should tell you this in the beginning, right off the bat one would think. Insurance is suppose to cover events, especially for company driver's. Not go thru the whole process, then at the very end, all this comes out. Follow me? I guess it was from dealing with an inexperienced recruiter.

Yes insurance does cover things like theft and vandalism, but the prudent person does what he can to reduce the probability of a claim. Having someone park at a secure lot or at the terminal is just the company's way of reducing the chance of having to file a claim.

Yes shouldering all or part of financial responsibility sucks but that can be remedied easily by doing what they ask.

If the "secure lot" charges, do they reimburse?

So in your opinion company drivers aren't responsible for anything? LOL.. No wonder the appropriate term for people in the industry is "steering wheel holders".. I guess its not just flip flops and pajama's anymore... "drivers" demand to never meet any standard! LOL!!! Clowns... clowns everywhere
