    No.
    I was on vacation last week. Didn’t care what happened to this thing. He came on that Wednesday and hooked ip the computer to check injectors. He never got back to me. Maybe thinking I didn’t want vacation interrupted. I’m so over it I haven’t asked of he found anything. I’m tired of being the communicator when I’ve been butt raped repeatedly with this crap.

    @JoeyJunk

    I wonder if it’s a delayed effect from the last couple of years pandemic bs , coupled with the cyclical nature of this business.

    We all pretty much trucked on, while the rest of the nation had to put up with a LOT of BS. I think a few of us are now coming to grips with the burnout many others have felt.

    Summer is fast approaching the end, rates have slid, the muppets came in on the up tick, the muppets are slowly exiting, dragging the industry down with them as they go.

    Regulation hasn’t let up. Don’t tell me anyone felt great about our annual 2290 contribution to the slush fund either. Like that druggie Uncle that shows up every year. “Here he is again - lock the bathroom door “

    I feel like I’m swinging from vine to vine right now, but a few times I don’t see the next vine, so I have to build some momentum up again and try again.

    This is just unconfirmed rumor sooo take it worth what it's worth but my neighbor was hauling big rounds from.souther Ia & northern MO.. to Wyoming and Montana...he was buying all the hay he could find said the government was paying the trucking & for the hay .. claimed he was getting 6.50 a loaded mile plus whatever he made on a ton of hay .. now everybody that sold their surplus hay is out and crying for hay.. including my Genius neighbor serves the little midget right.. I hope I'am the 1 that gets to haul his cows to the sale barn cause he's out of feed

    It's all about making money NOW. That's the difference between business people and opportunists.

    As far as i know several shops in chicagoland doing very good , but again its all about mechanics and they switch shops for better salaries often . One shop was opened to service their own fleet of 8 trucks , owner said the shop pays for itself and his maintenance cost 0 because of that . 2 bays , 3 mechanics
    ... I mean all side work they do for me and others small guys

    I am not much in to Crown and I also can’t advise anyone with any guarantees but I can study history. Economy’s and specific sectors of business are guaranteed to go up and go down. When one segment of the economy is killing it another may suck. Just like investing in the stock market where if you can look 5 years or more you will always make money. Those who are in business and are prepared for the down times that definitely come will outlast the downtimes. Talking specifically about trucking now. If what you are hauling currently sucks, there are still segments making money and are short of rigs currently. Is it easy to immediately switch to the segments that are moving freight at high rates? No but change is inevitable in life and those who can change will prosper long term.

    If it gets bad enough I have to drink Busch, I am out! AE1A219D-36A2-41CA-BA87-CDD69FF704BC.jpeg

    I think a shop is incredibly valuable depending what you do. I live where it gets cold and I'm home everyday. Truck needs to run everyday so heat in the winter is nice. Never have to worry about being gelled up. Run #2 all year. Fix 98% of my stuff to. I wouldn't be without it. Plus it's 100 feet from my house. Good place to hide

    Government paying freight on hay was very true for awhile. Thought they quit that at least to Montana a few months ago when they were up to their ### in snow and flood waters for a bit. Had a buddy was on that and was only charging em 5.50 a mile to bounce back to east river South Dakota.

    I haul finished pig feed for a pretty big mill. Covid really messed with pig flow. Went from to many pigs to not enough pigs. Plus pretty serious problems with PRRS this year. Seems to be picking up again now. Barns filling up steady
