I always thought those things look incredibly unsafe. I read, a typical windmill blade like that cost $154,000, not including transportation. They sure are going gonzo on this wind energy thing, and that's great, we need the juice, but someone told me, considering what we use, a windmill barely generates enough juice to light the light on the top. That's why we need 7,000 of these things, cluttering up the view. Granted, they are usually in remote areas, Get this, it takes EIGHT HUNDRED(800) windmills to equal one nuclear power plant output. With no nuclear plants planned, and all this EV phoophery, I wonder where the juice will come from?
The bridge looks okay, I wonder how that happened, I mean, those things are routed, no?

Was it too tall or did it hit the sides of the underpass? If he clipped the underpass because he was too tall, where was the escort with the height pole?

    Grumppy Thanks this.

So I am absolutely at a loss to understand how this happened. You would think that with a preplan and an escort this would never happen.

The energy made is far more than you understand. Sometimes they do not make enough to cover the costs, but the grants from the government help. Electricity is too cheap to cover the costs. Ask a landowner that has received the rent from having a tower on their land if they like wind power.

There ya go… most of this nonsense is just a way to wash off the tax dollars, politicians buy and rent land for windmills, they also invest into windmills and their friends pass grants while giving nice speeches on the news. California is one of the most strict states when it comes to electric energy, and for some reason they’re one of the most expensive when it comes to cost of electricity.

The politicians do not buy or rent land, the electric companies that own the windmills secure the sites. California is strict on a lot of things, so what makes it different for wind farms. You probably don't like solar farms either...

That's where I got the numbers, your results may differ. What part was in error? You know, we have to remember, upon passing those windfarms, half or more aren't turning, and an inherent risk, no wind, no power. Simpsons made a joke of that, with electric fans turning the windmill. According to one site, a blade costs $154,000 and an entire windmill can cost between $2.4 and $4million bucks. I don't know for sure about the "light at the top"., but as of May of this year, there are 74,511 windmills, at say $3mil a piece, I just don't get it. This is going to solve our energy needs?
