Thank you for the recent list of companies. I will continue to look on their sites for driver opportunities. As I could not find any driver positions currently available in DFW for any of the 5 companies recently listed.( I will check the latest two) I have checked all company sites of the suggestions posted here and I will be reaching out to those who have positions available. Thank you all.

Im surprised McElroy won't hire you, but knowing someone who worked there, seems to be very mixed reviews.
Check out Cypress. They're based out of Fl, but have terminals here, I definitely know there's one in Abilene/Tye. They do a lot of Tx regional. Being in Dfw, you should be able to be home regularly once your done with securement training.Adventure620 Thanks this. -
McElroy was/is pretty anal about "gaps" in employment history.
I speak from experience.

Just looking at aforementioned companies, I’d give J Rayl a shout. Looks like decent place to get your foot into the door. Companies that usher new drivers into the industry do not pay well, never have and never will that’s just how the industry is configured.
A 34 hour restart at home weekly is a good start, weeks or months on the road is no longer a thing unless you want it to be or you live in a remote region off the beaten path and you won’t make anymore money. You’ll just be living in truck stops and driving the same amount of miles.
Get your experience and move on to tankers or flatbeds. $100k a year with 4 nights away and a 5 day work week is easily attainable once you get away from that cheap garbage van/reefer freight. -
I can give you several more company names, but doubt you'll be home weekends. That's why I haven't posted them earlier.
