It’s also probably the worst time in the past 8 years to try to get into trucking. There’s a global recession. Freight has been in free fall since Covid. There’s an over supply of drivers. Large established companies are going bankrupt weekly. Miles are getting cut. There’s no where to park. Diesel is still expensive. Repairs are at all time highs. And robots are threatening every single driver.

If you have no exp then thinking like this willbryan21384 Thanks this. -
If you have no exp then thinking like this will severely limit you. I’m in a similar situation and when I got my CDL 18 months ago I got 75 no’s before I got a job offer. Needless to say I couldn’t be picky at all…I drove teams my first year.
Now, here are some companies that I know from experience (or know an RSO who drives there) that will hire you provided kids and/or violence is not a factor: Gestalt Logistics (Out of PA/NC), IWX (probably need one year exp), CTI, Ashley Dist/Pacific Northwest.
Beyond these that I know of, you’ll probably have to get on with a less scrupulous local outfit, but hey, it could be the stepping stone you need to a better gig like it was for me. If you want any other details send a PM.dreambig16, RockinChair, bryan21384 and 1 other person Thank this. -
Whoops I just saw you are on probation still. That will be a hurdle on top of a hurdle brother. I’d be looking at Class B local dumpers on CL…

If you're not gonna try and help a fellow driver then the least you could do is not kick him when he's down and trying to get himself back on the right track.
None of us are perfect, and we've all needed a hand up at some point, myself included.88 Alpha, Suspect Zero, tscottme and 2 others Thank this. -
