I do have my CDL. Did you miss the post where I said I was in the experienced class? And they were paying me $100 per day. But they planned to change it starting week 2.

Hey, MSWS, just move on now that you've parted ways with the company... I'm with ZVar & Dave_in_Arizona on this issue, the moment ya let 'em slide with that BS they'll mark ya down as an easy touch, or a simple rube who won't cause a fuss when he gets ripped off. Personally, I never liked any company that messed with my pay, especially when we had already agreed upon an amount... those outfits never lasted long. In the transportation industry, there are all kinds of shysters & hucksters who'll do everything they can to short your pay, downgrade benefits (if any), etc., you just gotta find the right outfit that keeps its word on the financial side. At the same time, ya gotta be flexible enough to roll with some changes, as long as they don't involve your pay. Just my $.02 on that subject... if a company shorted me on a check or just plain ripped me off, I gave 'em one (quick) chance to make things right, then they got drop-kicked like I was STARRIN' in the NFL. Not that I even watch football anymore, that game got ruined when they dragged politics into it, lol. Anyway, ya gotta draw the line when it comes to your pay, otherwise they'll just devise more ways to short ya or rip ya off. Moi, I was having a blast seeing the country back in the day, but I wasn't out there to do it for FREE, 10-4? And I could afford to go back to the beach and resume my job search, even if it was a PITA making my way home...

In this environment that's an insult. Better to stay home and not work. Or keep looking.

Schneider and JB are both known to do bait and switch...nothing new- they have been doing it for years. Can't trust either one...ever.

This kind of stuff is why I recommend not flying cross country to go to orientation. They know they have you by the curlies so they play with your money. What will they ask of you when 1500 miles from home and responsible for one of their trucks? While I would, like others have said, deal with it. It would leave a sour taste.

To me it’s a tip of the iceberg moment and then insight into what the company you’re gonna go work for is like. The company I’m currently at would never do something like that. You can expect for things like accessory pay of all types to be nickel and dime and ignored and pretend it didn’t happen and hope you go away when you request it going forward. I can guarantee it. You’ll probably work there for a short duration and move on.

I agree 110%. I ended up quitting because of even more lies. I drove my own vehicle to orientation, so that made the decision to leave a lot more simple. I won't work for a company that doesn't have a terminal within 200 miles of my home or attend orientation if it's more than 500 miles away for the exact reason you mentioned.
