The pre pass. All scales have signs stating "trucks equipped with x devices follow in truck x device."
I no longer use Pre Pass. I use Drivewise on my ePod.

I choose to follow what the scale master is telling me to do. He/she wants to check that tanker out, I will oblige.

Says the same thing here in TN. Follow in-cab signals. Prepass will also say in their book that if PP shows a red light you must pull in, even if the weigh station is closed. Yeah, right.

Why risk it? If I'm not sure I just go in.

I always go in MD & AZ scales. MD because their aholes and AZ because swift drilled it in our heads in training to always go in.

So what's the point of having prepass? Sounds like most of you that have it go through the scale anyways.

All of the folks who are telling you to go ahead and By Pass the scale are correct. In order for your prepass to work the Scale house has to turn the signal on. So do what you are being told to do and by pass the scale. Your prepass will continue to flash green for a while and if you are pulled over they will look at it and know that you are correct.
