Don't know for sure; I've never driven with/for them.

With comments like those from experienced drivers who have -- so what?!?

Got my CDL on August 1st.
I’ve been applying like crazy. The job market sucks right now. Many companies are looking for any excuse to say no. At least that’s been my experience so far after putting in over 30 applications in the past 2 weeks. I went to CDL school, a pretty good one. I’m now regretting that a little bit. More than one company has rejected me for not going to a school they accept (even though they were accepting people from that school a few months ago)

If I knew then, what I know now. In this current market, if you’re able to find someone to pay you to get your CDL, do it.

I am a veteran, with a clean driving record. CDL A hot off the press. No one wants to hire right now. They are only pretending to be hiring.

Obviously I’m not perfect, but there’s not a lot of reasons for these companies to be saying no to me. Seriously out of the roughly 30 applications I’ve sent out I’ve only received 2 offers. And lots of NO THANKS! Rough out there right now.

And I almost forgot, no one who’s hiring (or pretending to hire) cares about where you want to work. They only care about the ZIP on your license. That’s how their computer will allow them to hire.

You have 2 job offers; which one are you going to take?
Which 2 companies offered to hire you?

I have gotten three “offers”. One of them later turned me down, rescinded their written offer.

Watching the youtubes of one guy, he said 59 showed up for orientation. After all was said and done with the roadwork with trainer, 12 remained. Some were rejected along the way at every step, others quit.

Those are not good odds. I was shocked at that high of an attrition rate.
