Considering winter is coming, where is the worst place in USA to have to chain-up?

A smart dispatcher will run a student I-70 and below and keep them out of the storms. I doubt you'll get any serious bad road driving and chaining this winter. Now next winter is a different story. :)

That's eerily prophetic. Do you have a Farmers Almanac that we need to be looking at?

Some of the biggest winter messes I've ever seen were on I-70 and I-40 though KS and OK, not to mention I-64 between St. Louis & Louisville. There wasn't a whole lot of chaining in those areas, but there probably should have been.

My 1st year I had to be pushed over Snoqualmie... Had every chain on but was empty. Was doing fine till guy in front of me skidded out.

Seems like every time I go over Elk in the winter I have to dodge a set of rolled over FedEx pups.

Funny u say that.I ended up getting stuck in center lane and part right lane I hit 70mph so I have momentum to make it up its snowing blowing wind and ice I get 3/4 way up I was doing so good but,....... as all else c.r and swift and few others who we re light were Jack knifed by sliding backwards....
As soon as I stopped I started sliding backwards with all my brakes applied. Finally stopped. While everyone else was stopped behind me I was like screw this jumped out laid my chains out less then 10 minutes me and another swifty in a grey t660 were making our own path. Once we passed the lincoln memorial hell broke loose visibility 1% drove all the way to Cheyenne and took my chains off. Got to Loveland no snow in sight hahah

Yeah I love the Farmer's Almanac. It's suppose to be a bad winter. There was a bunch of them wooly caterpillars running around. The old timers say that's a sign of a bad winter. I know TN is overdue!
