Well on a late friday night I sat quite a few hours in Olney, Il to get unloaded and had to go to St. Louis for a backhaul home to MI. I was off for the weekend and had plans so I wanted to get home. I jumped on I70 and traveling about 60 mph trying not to push it to much, I see a truck come up and pass me pretty quick, wanting to cruise along with him but waited. Now I see about 5 more trucks cruising up behind him, time to hammer down. We were covering ground pretty quick and trucks kept joining along the way, once we got near St Louis we had about 22 trucks in a row. My truck was governed at 80mph and I had trouble keeping up some of the time. I will say it was probably not a smart decision on my part, but it was one of the best times Ive had trucking just seeing a huge line of trucks. Anyone else have any convoy stories?

About six year ago,I was comming out of Phoenix Az headed for L.A. I was passed by about half a dozen large cars. I had a old t600 that was a triple digit truck,but took all day to get there and would lose a gear on a speed bump. I finally got up some speed and got around the large cars at 94 mph. that was the last time I looked at the speedo. of course the first hill I hit I lost it and they passed me,I finally just cooled it.
