Conway physical agility tests (Joplin)

You have to lift a 30lb duffel over your head and carry 50lbs in a crate that has a handle. Don't worry yourself about it. If you're not sure if you can do it go to walmart and lift some dog food bags. Mostly they're checking to see that your heart rate doesn't get too high while doing things similar to what you'd do in your job.

 

Its not hard....quite easy....dont stress over its nothin.

 

They are checkin your heart rate take deep breath as your doing it all and you will be good.

 

No problem. Just remember to breathe while you're doing the lifting. Holding your breath will spike your heart rate. Otherwise it's easy.

 

I guess they are making sure you can work on the docks before they let you drive.

 

Is there a requirement to "duck walk" under the trailer to pass the company physical? I am very interested in driving for Con-way. I am 6'7" tall, and duck walking under a trailer may be very difficult at my height. I can crawl with no problem though.

 

yes there is but we had a guy 6ft 9 do it.

 

Yes, but was he 58 years old? I don't have the leg strength anymore to crouch low enough to duck walk under a trailer either. This could be a deal killer. I don't want to pay tuition at Crowder, then get to orientation and not be able to duck walk under a trailer. Can't a person just get on their knees and crawl?
