I now have to use a CPAP machine for four (4) hours nightly..... do any of you all use one, how do you power it? The new(er) truck will have an inverter (Cobra brand inverter), so run the engine and power the CPAP?

Mine is a ResMed, I used an inverter when I started, and later was able to get a 12v cord for it. I had an APU, so it kept the batteries charged. The APU died one night, but I was able to sleep all night on 12v, never knew the APU quit until I woke up and the batteries were close to dead.

For added security, I plug a medium size ($60ish) UPS into my inverter, then the CPAP into that. Before I did that, I'd have problems with the CPAP cutting off when the engine cycled. I actually have two UPS units now, one on each side....plug my TV and stuff into one, my CPAP and chargers and so forth into the other. It has made for a great setup.rabbiporkchop Thanks this.

cpaps are actually a dc powered system. if you look at the ac power cord the power pack is the converter to ac.
I used 12v plug on truck power with zero issues.UsualSuspect, fargonaz and Roberts450 Thank this.
