The first bullet point from the op's link says

This goes along the lines with what you're saying...
Another thing left off, or at least I didn't see it, is the level of experience/ of the drivers involved in crashes. I'd be interested to see what the percentages are based on the experience level. -

Federal data says otherwise, Federal law makes it illegal to act on said data.

Their study didn't note the percentage of truck drivers that were at fault in these crashes.
