I was SB on I-65 headed toward Indy last spring.
I get to that construction zone that the lanes do a double crossover that's all walled off with jersey barriers, 45mph zone, but no workers present.
So I'm loping along, and there's this green porta john that grabs my eye.
While I'm watching, this guy opens the door, looks to the left and right, and goes back in and closes the door.......
Like he thought he heard his ride pull up, or he fell asleep on the can and the crew van left without him.
Craziest thing you have ever seen driving on the road!

There’s a Pilot in Missoula mt. Exit goes up with concrete barriers on the sides. Pretty good drop off into the ditch.
In the middle of the night. A driver tried to turn into the exit. Ran the concrete barrier into middle of trailer. Then kept trying to run up. Busted the brake cans off the trailer. Kept trying to go. Oblivious to what he was doing. He just about caused the trailer to flip over the barrier. Which would have meant everything flipping over into the ditch. Only thing to stop him. A diver ran over and yelled at him to stop. Get him out of the truck to see what he had done. Got him to back down off the barrier. He still wanted to leave. Had to tell him he wasn’t going anywhere. He’s dragging his brake cans on his trailer. He has no brakes. He’s lost a couple tires and maybe a wheel. He then asked how much it would cost. .... believe it or not.Blue jeans, nredfor88 and OldeSkool Thank this. -
Seen plenty of rollovers but last week during that icy mess in Texas I finally saw one straight up and down all the way on the roof. XPO flipped a pup trailer completely upside down on the toll road around San Antonio and Austin. Tractor and other pup, if there was one, were already cleared by the time I got there. No clue how he managed that one haha!
One time I was headed south on 25 in New Mexico somewhere between Albuquerque and Truth Or Consequences overnight, probably around 2am or so. Somewhere around nowhereville and empty desert town I caught a glimpse of some lady dressed in all white standing on the side of the road looking right into my cab. Went by too quick to get a good look and I wasn't turning around. Probably a good 20+ miles from the closest town so no clue what she was doing out there. I don't want to jump to the ghost conclusion because I didn't get a good look but I have no idea what anyone would have been doing out there, there were no broken down cars on the side of the highway anywhere.Blue jeans, slow.rider and kylefitzy Thank this. -
I came to my terminal at 3am one morning to pick up my trailer. Was going to get out of town ahead of traffic.
Here my trailer is blocking the road. Had been there since 10pm. They couldn’t move it. The jostler had gotten it loaded across town that night. Heading back in. He said he decided to take a shortcut to park the trailer. The shortcut was across railroad tracks. He didn’t even get the tractor across the tracks. He literally ripped the blower off the tractor.
This guy was going to college during the day. Doh!
