Evertrucker,
I'm curious if you're using Excel for the spreadsheets you've posted showing your hours and income. If that's the case, did you get templates somewhere or make your own?
I'm sure it wouldn't be an unreasonable time investment to figure out how to make my own templates, but if there are already some good ones available I'd love to know where to get them.
Thanks.

Just got a call from Driver Development that I've been approved. I'll call Monday to talk with them and to get the time frames worked out. Man this is exciting!

Hey Jedi, I am pretty sure that he is using an Excel type program. I just copied most of the stuff that would be of interest over to one of my own from his template, shouldn't take but a few minutes.

I use Quattro Pro (Corel)myself...I have Excel, but my laptop - even with 1gig of RAM- loads Excel spreadsheets really slow. My Quattro Pro loads within 5 seconds. I just don't have quite as much detail as his, I would hate to see how slow Excel would load on my system if I put that much info into it.
The preset templates are ok if you can find one that fits the data you want to figure, but you would most likely get one that is missing stuff you want, and have a lot you don't need. It isn't too hard to learn... I am self taught, the 'help' on the program gives good examples of how to set things up and do the calculations etc. -
Things are still running pretty good here for me. As of the 22nd of Feb, I will be almost 2000 miles above what I did this time last year, and I have even taken a week off for vacation this year. In the 16 days since I left home I have run 6628 miles... I am running hard enough that I need to take a 34 on a regular basis. Now we're not talking ET'ish miles, but after last year's dismal miles, any improvement is worth noting. Plus I had 3 loads in a row that were either so heavy I had to do the 50 gallon shuffle on fuel, or there wasn't a company fuel stop enroute... so my out of route miles have been up a bit more than I like. I've had to call in for alternate fuel solutions more in the last week, than in all the other times since they started using the forced fuel solution program. All in all, not bad...especially for February...I hope this continues through the rest of the year.

Thanks Majestyk and Snackbar.
All I really needed to figure out was how to set up the calculations in a spreadsheet. And boy, how easy it is to forget about the help file.
I did find some templates specific to trucking -- they weren't all that great, but I've taught myself more difficult apps than Excel, so I guess I'll just dive in and work through it.
Thanks.
