I put in my notice this past week and will head to New Kingstown to clean out my truck tomorrow. I was hoping to do it today but came down with a cold/sore throat and feel like crap.
My new job starts Monday. Ill run local cement dry bulk, and make the same money as Crete, but will be home nightly and weekends. -
Best of luck to ya'... One day soon I hope to post a similar farewell msg.

Folks, First, Happy Mothers' Day to all you Mothers out there, and you know who you are. Second, all you folks who still have a Mom on the face of the planet...Love and Cherish them while they are still here. No matter how you might feel about them, you only get one so take care of them!

My first week at Crete, 2083 miles in 5 days, had to drive a rental car from Knoxville, TN. To Jacksonville, FL. To pick up my tractor, so far so good, hated the day in Chicago but all is good, sitting in Fort Smith, AR. Delivering in the morning,

Well, it seems that things are slowing in a major way. Once I got empty in KY, I had a load that picked up 30 miles away, but hours later. Then it only went to Atlanta for Tuesday. After finally getting loaded (floor load via conveyor, and 1 loading crew) I had just enough time to slip into Marietta. When I was waiting on Mr. Wok to deliver my supper, I found out that there were drivers that had been there all weekend waiting on freight, and only got something late Monday that picked up Tuesday. Did I pull a rumplestilskin and sleep too long and it is December already?
1catfish Thanks this.
