I finished crete orientation yesterday and got my truck. They are doing a huge restructure of their whole csr/am setup. Many new people training for those positions and understaffed now. We were asked to be patient in orientation as they implement the new restructure. I think even a new tranee should know. how to set up correct time though.

I am sorry it didn't work out for you especially since you had such an open and positive attitude coming in. The one thing I can say is that it only adds a huge exclamation point on what many of the posts I added. It shows that there IS a problem with this company and it wasn't just me or my bad luck. It also shows that there is more than just a few of us having problems here and these problems are a company wide issue. Hopefully the news that they are revamping the whole system to try to fix it is a good thing...given managements attempts at 'fixing' things in the past...they will screw it up worse than before...those of us that remain may be truly screwed even worse.

I wish you the best, I hope things work out for ya...no one can say you didn't give it way more patience than it deserved.

According to Google Latitude, I drove 13,700 miles in the last 33 days, but I never got west of York, Nebraska the whole time. I ran all the miles, and we never did the Super Solo thing. Got my Prostar last week (my trainer tried to get them to give me his Cascadia and let him have the PS, but the PS is a single bunk). I prefer the jake brake on the Cascadia. The jake on the Prostar is only good for having on while shifting, so I never turn it off. The transmission on this new truck sounds like a coffee grinder even when not shifting, and I don't expect it to last very long. I noted that when I did my initial inspection on it. I have to get used to the newer qualcomm with the touch screen (not e-logs). I only used the old type here and riding with my brother a few times when he was at Trans Am a few years ago.

My last Century class had a transmission like that...I was shocked to have gotten over 400k out of it. I was told by another Crete trainer I spoke to a while back, the reason they teach new drivers to do paper is so they know how to do it just in case the e-log system fails once they transition over to it when they get on their own. He will probably be better off with the old truck compared to all the issues we are having with the new trucks lately. The jakes work great on a Prostar...once they get over 2000 rpm. At low rpm they suck. If you got the MCP200...good luck, that is the one I have...calling it a piece of junk only insults the piece of junk you're comparing it to...but by what I've heard, they are still better than the other system I've heard they are thinking about switching to...Peoplenet

I have a cascadia and even though its my 3rd day at crete it seems like it will be a nice truck to have.

It sucks I have to ask this question here but my AM has given me useless info. How do i sign onto qualcomm? AM keeps saying use driver code but qualcomm only likes numbers?

'Preciate it, SSB....but I'm still here, and will be at least through the end of the month....maybe even a bit longer, as I need to hit the dentists office before I go switching around jobs again.....so I'll try to grit my teeth for a few more weeks....but not too tightly....

Has it been activated for e-log? If they haven't told you to log on and start doing e-log, you can't get on the system yet. Once you're told to do e-log, they will activate the unit to accept a driver. Then it is your driver short code as the driver ID, and your social without the last digit for a password.

The old systems you could sign on and off at will. These new systems must be activated by Lincoln before you can get logged on.
