Read the last 150+ pages of this thread. An inverter or APU is the least of your worries! Crete's BS would make you so mad you'd throw up all that truck made food anyhow. :biggrin_25523:

My situation turned from bad to worse. I had accepted the 300 mile load that had me sitting almost 24 hrs because I thought maybe it was all they had heading west. I have been trying to get to Stockton CA for my days off ('home' time). My AM said he had entered it into the system.

it was a live unload in San Antonio (300 miles away) with an appointment of 8pm (and says not to arrive more than 30 min early). I wanted to save my 14 until the last minute so I could pick up another load after empty. So I'm doing my pretrip, starting the qcom and beginning my day. Sure enough, I get a new message (had just been written, not waiting to receive). The bit&# pulls the load and says she had to give it to another driver for home time!!

i flip out and then the witch sends me a load that picks up at midnight, 400 miles heading back east. That would give me 1000 miles from all Fri though Mon! I refused that load saying "too unproductive" just on principle even though I knew by now it's probably all they had. Then this office idiot proceeds to send me several patronizing, lecturing messages. I am so steamed. I try to work with these people, but every time they absolutely shock me with new levels of incompetence, unprofessionalism, and disrespect.

JoeyJunk : Couldn't get through the first 10 pages. Skipped to the end and saw nothing really had changed it seems so ..... pretty much decided to keep looking. ;-) I except I'll get a call this next week since I told them I was making a move after the new year, but it looks like it won't be to them at this point. Too many other options to explore.

I would have asked them to take their head out of their butts and remind them that you are also trying to get home...or did their perfect professional eyes fail them and they over looked that on your screen. I would remind them that one way or another you ARE going home, whether that is the direction your load is suppose to go, or not. I would also message 23 your fleet manager about how poorly the weekend dispatch has handled this, and how incompetantly and unprofessionally treated you are...and that kind of treatment won't get you any recruiting bonus when you talk to other drivers when they ask you about Crete. Mine already has been told, that if my name or truck number appears on someones application...to immediately schedule me for a psychological evaluation...because if I'm promoting Crete to other drivers...I musta lost my freekin mind. When you send messages to people like your fleet manager...the people in op's still see it. Whether they care or not is a totally different thing. And if it continues, I would send a message 11 with the vp of op's checked and message him about it...he won't see it until Monday, and I would ask him to look into the matter since you were assigned the load 1st, you were scheduled to go on hometime 1st, and that op's failed to comply with the advertised company claims of getting us home. Use the old political spin to point the finger of blame right back at his peep's. And if you end up speaking to him(the op's vp) mumble something to yourself, but loud enough he can hear you about how you didn't believe the people on the forum were telling the truth...until lately

I got out of the shop the 2nd time. And every thing seems to be working. I guess when he went in to check out my 'no idle' heater, the circuit board had to be reset. Kinda stupid that they (the truck makers) feel they have to computerize something as simple as a blower motor fan control. Man I miss the old trucks. I believe it was Mr. Scott from Star Trek that said "the more they overtick the plumbing, the easier it is to stop up the drain". I couldn't describe an International Prostar any better than that...Live Long and Prosper

They could pay $1/mile, but if they don't get ya miles...that wouldn't pay any better than a local hourly job. Part of the reason I keep my hair cut short is so I don't pull my hair out trying to work with these Keystone Cop wannabe's.

LOL!! What's so sad is that there have been brief periods when things went so smooth. Crete is definitely capable of greatness just like they were in the past. But every time I get my hopes up and let my guard down, they literally blow my mind with something astronomically idiotic. No matter how many times I enter something into the qualcomm, I swear to God they respond like you just popped down from outer space and they have no idea what you've been doing that day, the day before, or all week.

I had to leave to truck so I could mentally cool off. Trying to forget all about those office jerks right now. Hopefully I can get a load out of here tomorrow, but most likely they'll try some type of retaliation.

The problem is they have an abundant supply of replacement drivers right now, so they can crap on us however they want, we leave and they have a fresh butt in the seat the next orientation class. The problem with that is when the economy eventually picks up, they won't have that luxury and then will bend over backwards to keep the flood of drivers from rushing the exit door.

Therein lies the problem. The economy will not pick up at such a pace conducive to making things better for especially veteran drivers. It's going to be a long, slow haul that will not require companies to make things better for those of us with the longest service.

Let me add that the last three freeform messages I've sent have all mentioned the possibility of me quitting. Not a peep as to inquiring why I'm considering it, not a fragment of an overture to fix any issues. Pretty much says it all to me.
