Got an opportunity for a closed loop...my stomping grounds (NC) to Laredo and back. 2700 miles/week, same run every time, 12 days out then 48hrs off. Not great money but very consistent. Fly in the ointment: it's a different company. Do I really want to go be the new kid on somebody else's block right now? Wife and I are discussing it. Intensely.

I would jump on it, consistent miles, you know what your pay ck will be, u-know were u are going, u can plan something because u will know when u will be home. Just leave on good terms u can always go back if it does not work out as any good driver can do.
It all comes down to money and home time and equipment!
Good luck!

48Packard Thanks this. -
Sounds like a run I was offered while I was at Schneider. Never did come to fruition though. But I'd take it if for no other reason then to stay out of Ohio!

Someone in Indy's shop must be terminated. While I was crawling around trying to find where the diesel leak was...I grabbed the edge of the air cleaner to steady myself, only to have the whole air cleaner almost fall off because the bolts are only slightly finger tight, then I grab the steering column to check the play because now the steering gearbox is leaking at the shaft and the whole shaft is loose because the idiots didn't tighten the bolt that locks it to the spline of the input shaft...God only knows what else they left loose. Avoid that shop at all costs, your life may be in jeopardy if they touch it!

I'm more of a classic heavier hairband or blues kinda guy. -
Made it to Indy without incident...1500 miles on 170 gallons of fuel (55mph, 15,000 in the box). Got one going from Indy to Troutman NC picks up in the morning. Stocked the fridge and fueling at the yard in the morning. Hope it stays just wet.
