Well, it's happened again. Put in a request for something more west bound for a change after my delivery. This morning, before I was empty I was offered a load to Smyrna, DE...I guess that's close to the west coast...of Delaware(but so is the east coast of Delaware) All isn't lost though, it delivers ASAP. Which means instead of a 2 day Lowes load out of N. Vernon, I got 900 miles and a short shag pay bonus, so it all worked out. If this keeps up...what will BMW about?
-
I'm still stuck at Lincoln. They finally gave me a load but it won't be ready until tomorrow. Worse, it doesn't deliver (in Maryland) until Monday. That will give me 1100 miles for the first 8 days of April.
One good thing I found out while I was killing time. Once before I was stuck here and took a taxi downtown (to go to the movie theater and other stuff). It shocked the heck out of me because they charged about $25. But this time I found out a city bus stops right by the two truck stops and for $1.75 can take you all over town.stungjoe Thanks this. -

Had an 1116-mile load planned on me, but then they discovered a 250-milef that had to be picked up by 1600 and delivered at 0600. We're "debating" the issus now. The p/plan is 100 miles away. The first p/planis a mile and a half from me.

Still no word....from anyone. Think I really peeved someone. Oh, well...looks like a nice break, picking up a few hours, and seeing what tomorrow holds. Just doesn't bother me....their planning is poor, and that does not constitute an emergency on my part.
scottied67 and JimBob24 Thank this. -
What's the ol saying? "Lack of planning on your part does not constitute an emergency on my part"
Well my 1900 ready time turned into a 0630 "here's your paperwork" 610 miles and 10 and a half hours later (bad accidents in Dallas)I'm in Percival, IA; where the truck stops were flooded for so long. My AM did get the delivery changed to include and extra 2 hours just in case my luck didn't change. Sitting beside another Creten who's missing the same side skirt I am
