I actually have a positive post for a change. Just as I had hoped, I was reloaded at the zinc plant headed right back to Aurora, CO. 2 trips, 2799 miles...and I checked the weather....no snow all week. Yipeeeeeeee! So I guess my regular pestering for them to properly plan me for once paid off. I guess a blind squirrel will find a nut every once in a while. On the down side, Aurora/Denver hasn't been a real productive area as of late, so getting out of there might be a challenge. But at least I have my good week in early this month.

I've got your week, then. All short crap, including a 187-miler (total) that
will totally eat up today. And the mood I've been in this week was well-conveyed in my message to my AM this morning.

Just came from there. They sent about four or five of us to the mine outside of Silverthorne headed deep into Iowa. Nice little run but I70 thru the Eisenhower sucked at nearly 79k lb.s I was able to stop by Lincoln and get some free laundry so that was nice. BTW the Denver drop yard is a very nice, paved lot so if I'm ever mile high again I will def. stay there:biggrin_25525:

I talked to another driver before the last trip out here that picked up at the mine, only his went to somewhere near Houston and had way too much time on it so he t'called it in Wilmer. What was it they mined? I have pulled diatimasious earth(colored dirt according to the Wyoming POE lady) out of Oregon all the way to a paint plant in Statesville, NC...but that was a long time ago.

molybdenum. If I'm not mistaken, it's what they use to harden hand tools, as in chrome moly. I did a google maps search for mines in that area, other than gold mines, that was the only other type of mine that came up

That figures...it rained most of the whole 34 hour break in Lenoir...I started seeing animals pairing up again, looking for a big boat. But at least it beats snow, I guess.

I'm taking off 4 days in May. That's the first days off I've taken since January (except for 34 resets). Yet when I get back on the 13th, I will have a grand total of 2200 miles for the whole month (4 trips of 400-600 miles). I am positive this is retaliation by my AM. She kept forgetting that I needed to be out West for a wedding. So I finally sent a message to VP OPS and after that she kept me on slow micro loads that never left the region. The weird thing is that I am the most exhausted and physically sick I have ever been from just sitting around waiting on these ridiculous loads.

i ended last month with an amazing 2300 mile load that could deliver ASAP. I was convinced that I might even break 13K for April. But my MMR says only a little over 11K, so I guess I was delusional. Now with May probably under 8K, it will take me the rest of the year to catch up. I wish I knew how to deal with the constant rage. It is really eating me up.
