Yes... I heard some at Crete say that the savings the company gets by not using APUs is passed on to the drivers... Yeah... right...

Sounds like they have heard your suggestion many times before and already have their answer ready to go...

I did Cheyenne back during the holidays. Mileage took a big hit but with the stop stop pay and incentive the weeks check wasn’t awful. Every load but one went through Denver, usually twice a day and some of the stores weren’t great about getting you unloaded. I’ve also done weeks at Paul’s Valley and North Platte and “popup” fleets in Texas, Kentucky and Oregon. The only one that was a complete bust was Paul’s Valley.

You also in the national division?
What does it mean "popup" fleets?
Do they pay for multiple stops when pulling WM loads? If so, how much?

They pay for every stop over 1, $30 per stop I think. So if you have 3 stores to deliver to, you get paid for each store. The trip starts and ends at the DC. Idk about the popups.
I think you're focusing too much on the Walmart stuff, especially if you're wanting to go southeast regional. You will almost certainly have to deliver to Walmart DCs, but won't get stuck running to the stores.

I've been running below 1/4 2 out of 3 loads, which sucks because I have been running in temps in the single digits. I hate running that low when it's that cold.

Yeah... The southeast division pulls freight for WM, Unilever and Kimberly... So, I am trying to know more details about how this division operates...

Hmmmm.... I agree with you... It's not safe to have so little fuel in the tanks under such low temps.. Can you call dispatch and request another "fuel solution" routing or whatever to override the one you have?

    48Packard Thanks this.

I asked Crete recruiter the other day what the idle policy is in case the opti-idle doesn't work and I have to idle for a while.
Their response was that the company will get that fixed right away... Which in my opinion can't always happen that way...
I never had opti-idle in the trucks I drove and have no idea how good or bad it is. But if it goes bad, and it takes days or over a week to have it fixed, does company have a "limit" to how much a driver should idle?
