Have you told your AM you need home? I'm an RDO21 and at 15 days out I get a canned message saying they will attempt to get me home within 6 days. They kept me out 6 weeks once. I now remind them and stick to my guns when they try to route me somewhere besides home. My Am is really good at getting me home though. It's weekend dispatch that you'll have to stand up to.

I had a chat with a Teamster Union "Outfit" today, at first I was under the impression they were day-cab.....being home on weekends making 58 G a year, No it was OTR (CPM) 5.5 days out with $60 a month Union dues, trks set at 70mph. I said Naw, if this was daycab (Hr-rate), I'd be on it like a ham sandwich. Still got an eye out for Greener Pastures.....

I usually get home on time with 4 days notice. Just gotta put in for it.

We've all took off more than 4 days. It's one less truck for them to worry about if you take off longer. We have 17 trillion rules in the handbook. You're expected to break one or two

I thought that on my last truck and wrote it up a time or two. One time at home I jacked the front end up and pulled on the wheels, no play or anything wrong with it. It made me feel safer checking it myself

    stungjoe Thanks this.

Camping out at the TA in Madison, GA for the night. Will take off and deliver my load in the morning at the Wal-Mart DC in LaGrange, GA. This load pays 345 miles. However, the actual miles will be 397 miles.
