I love getting asked what trailer I have. It's not like the trailer number goes on every macro 6 you send in... Oh wait...

I sent my macro 6 without a trailer, I tried to get a great load picking back up at Kim Clark in Owensboro on Friday, but that confused them. So I told them what empty I had and went home.

Right!! It was nice getting the green light in TN with my tandems way back. Especially if you're too lazy to go back to the shipper and get it reloaded.
Wheres the party in Tuscaloosa tonight?

Hats off to a fellow Creten named "Paul". I ran up from Vegas to Grantsville, UT to d/h at the Wally World. About 30 minutes out I get a preplan to pick up at the Salt Palace Convention Center...right smack dab in the middle of SLC. I told them my truck was going in the shop but I would swing by and pick it if they would t-call it on the yard. "Sure no problem" Since there were no directions in the system I called the dude and he rattled of the jibberish that is SLC "West 200 South by South 200 West" :biggrin_2552: "OK man" I said and proceeded to let Google find it. Sure enuf' 200 by 200 (They say if you learn the street the address makes perfect since....what ever! SO anyways I pull up and the guard comes running out the driveway giving the "Hold up there partner" arms crossed in an "X" signal. Several cars file out and I get the "come on in" sign. I no sooner got out of the truck then the guy who had just given me the directions...the one knowing I was coming from Grantsville started telling me I was supposed to be there till after 1800 (which was my appt). I always get to a live load about an hour early. So he then proceeds to tell me he had called Crete during the middle of the day to let them know they were WAY behind so don't send anybody in. They have a pretty tight space with angled docks. So there were two other Cretens there. "Paul" had been there the longest for his 1400 appt. (it was now nearly 1530) and was just now being finished up. The directions guy told me it would be well after 2000 before I would be loaded. rut wro! My 14 would run out before then. SO I'm on the phone to OPs telling them there's no way I could make it back to the yard. "Paul" 's trlr was ready and he VERY graciously offered to swap trlrs with me and wait for the one I brought in to be loaded! Man what a guy! I couldn't believe it! He said he didn't start his day till he came over to the convention center so he had plenty of time. He was going to take the trlr over to the yard anyways and didn't want another load out tonight. Still a heck of a thing to do!!!

You see there are some good people in this world!

Oh man this needed it's own post!

So I'm in the Microtel and walk up to the front to get ice. I swear to the Lord Almighty! There were no fewer than 30 Koreans in the lobby waiting to check in! All of them talking and carrying on. I know I'm bad but it struck me as funny cause it sounded like one of those turkey farms they show on the news every year around Thanksgiving.

Oh and BOOOO to the Microtel for blocking Netflix:biggrin_25510:

Yes. Good people in the world.
i saw a ####roach walk along the bar at the Ruby Tuesday. I didn't care as he didn't bother me or my drink, later the manager came over to see if I was ok?
they gave me a big discount, which I didn't ask for.

just a bigger tip for my barmaid.

    Weren't no foreigners there either?

    stungjoe Thanks this.

I haul nothing but hazmat and a lot of my miles are in Ohio. It's been over a year since I last crossed a scale in the Buckeye.
