    At least I'm broke down in one of my favorite towns, Youngstown, OH. I went down on Saturday and they still ain't pulled the truck in the shop, I can barely see it from my hotel. I do thank the Cretans that checked on me at the stoplight while I waited for my tow. I had two cops check on me too.
    Swapping trucks is out of the question as Crete would charge me $125 cleaning fee no matter how clean my truck is so I'll collect my breakdown and stay in the hotel. I'm a regular at the Ice House and loved Monday there, $1 Bud day.

    when you're switching due to mechanical failure...they normally waive the cleaning fee. Or at least they use to when I was breaking down all the time over there. If I remember right, there is a time limit on how long they'll pay breakdown. Ralph who use to work there had several battle royale's with his terminal witch over that issue.

    breakdown pay is usually three days or until they offer you a replacement. If you don't take the replacement they will end your breakdown pay whether it's been three days or not. If you're at a terminal and there's a truck they may hurry up the offer. I was in Hot Springs for three days but my truck got fixed :biggrin_25512: late Friday...haha

    Not sure about the hotel though. I know I was broke down at the Columbus terminal for four days. I was offered a replacement truck but declined since my truck was due to be completed the next day. Wilmer said no more hotel but Columbus covered it because I was in their shop.

    I've run this truck 82,000 miles with no problem til I got a B service at Indy. I parked for the night at the Pilot at exit 4 for the night afterwards. The next morning she wouldn't start and I called the Indy shop (Big mistake, never do that) he had me towed to the International dealer for a day and a half wait to get looked at. They forgot the o ring under the fuel filter. Now I could tell the fuel bowl was empty, but now a days we can't get a spare fuel filter from the company shops, if I had one I would have pulled it but without a spare filter kit, I could have ## an o ring. so I spent the night at Cretes hotel, the hotel with no food around it except for the Wyndamms 5 star restaurant, $20 for a small great meal, $9 shots and 5 or 6 dollar bottles, shewwhhs;
    I figured I strained the starter trying to start it and that's why I'm down now. \
    And the starter is so hid jumping the solenoid requires crawling under it in the snow, maybe Thursday I might do that if I'm still here, but not yet.
    And I don't miss being in the truck with the 2 minute idle timer and the fked up auto start that thinks it can charge a battery in 2 minutes, thank god it idles forever at a high idle with a broomstick

    They still ain't looked at the truck, they offered to find me another truck and cut off the breakdown pay, at least I don't have to check in every day now. 40 cent wings at the Ice House, what a deal

    Well the doctor's office got my release sent in. Just waiting for Safety to call me tomorrow on what's next. Looks like I should be in a truck tomorrow or Friday at the latest.
