After I delivered my load today, I got a 1728 mile PPlan from Cottonton, AL to Aurora, CO that delivered on the 27[SUP]th[/SUP]. Had to turn it down though. Didnt have the hours to handle it.
So I got another PPlan from Cottonton, AL to Joplin, MO. This one is only 1000 miles though, but it delivers also on the 27[SUP]th[/SUP], which will allow me to do a 34 hour restart in Joplin on Monday the 26[SUP]th. [/SUP]So I guess it works out. I could do 34 hour restart over here in Alabama or in route, but it will be better in the long run to do a reset in Joplin, MO.
However, I wont take the suggested route Crete routed me on because there are a bunch of low weight limit bridges on that route. So I will have to take another route thats going to be about 50 miles further. As a matter of fact, I talked to a Crete driver the other day that told me he got a ticket for getting caught passing on one of those low weight limit bridges on that route. Crete needs to update their routing information, as this isnt the first time Cretes suggested route wasnt exactly legal. -

When I looked inside my trailer while doing my drop and hook, it was immaculate. So Im in good shape there. -
At McLane in Nicholasville KY. After witnessing some of the most idiotic backing I've ever seen (thanks Werner) I've been in the dock for 3 hours now. About 40 minutes ago as I was shooting the bull with the driver in the next door over, laughing at Werner we hear the fire alarm going off in the warehouse. Turns out one of their forklift drivers broke one of the sprinkler heads and half of the warehouse (thankfully not the half where I'm parked) is covered in some of the foulest, nastiest water I've ever been around. Almost an hour later, after the fire department has come and gone there's still sprinklers going off. "Sprinklers" by the way turns out to be a misnomer... More like torrential-downpour-ers. So no I get to wait for someone from the alarm company to show up and fix the sprinklers so the forklift drivers can get back to work and finish unloading my trailer.

I would not want to eat any of the food coming out of that warehouse. -
Well my truck's all fixed and of course no MTs on the lot in Wilmer. So they send me to Lewisville for a p/u. They send me not one but two messages that this load, which is due to be ready at 1300, must be picked up by 1400 due to inventory. So here I sit waiting to hook up to a 34% loaded trailer to go a whopping 150 miles. And the good times continue!

Asked for a run with some real miles on it, because I had to sit 2 days over a truck service.
Received this:
And knowing the runs I've gotten out of Maine in the past, I'll probably get a nice run out of there, too. -
Just arrived at Mead-Westvaco in Cottonton, AL and just backed up to door 51. So for I haven't been made to wait. Anyway, I have my fingers crossed that they will load me fast. There is no one over here other than me. We'll see.
Edited to add that so for I'm about half way loaded. Amen!Last edited: May 24, 2014
