I am officially back! I got my med card (only one year) and my truck. At least the previous driver didn't smoke! It's nice and clean. "Cept that cleaning dude in Wilmer LUUUUUUUUVS! the Armor All. I'm sliding all over the place. Looks like whoever had this truck b4 me might have had a CPAP. There's an extra 12v outlet screwed to the cabinet by my head in the bunk. I could probably charge my phone from there.

I'm taking a li'l break from loading my stuff. I have so much junk and I even cut down on some of it :biggrin_25520:

    See ya out there!

my last truck had one of those too, except it kinda hung over the edge and you had to watch bonking your head if you rolled over too far.. It was 85333. Hope you didn't get that pile of s...um...spare parts I mean. I had 85240 before that one, and I was in Wilmer when the International dealer was bringing it in from yet another repair visit and this was only a few months after I got out of it because it was waiting to go into the Columbus dealer...it was an even bigger pile of donkey poo...

Glad to hear that all is going well for ya.

Naw, I got a red one. There were a LOT of FL's there but they had this one ol ProStar. Actually it's newer than the one I turned in by a few hundred trucks. It's got 189k on the ticker and two bottles of anti-freeze in the storage :biggrin_25511: I'm gonna check with service tomorrow and see what all has been done to it...recall wise and what not.

One interesting thing is I heard from my old trainer on the Shaffer side. He's in a brand new Cascadia double bunk. Plus when he was strong arming the tractor assigner dude to get that one, he said there are a few ProStar w/Cummins ISX engines on the way :biggrin_25517: Mine might need to break down soon..haha

Well I guess I get what I deserve. I told my AM that I could use a run with some extra time on it so i could get back into the swing of things. He came thru with a beautiful 1650 mile run delivering late Monday. Perfect for me since I don't need to get back home for Christmas. The only thing is I should have looked up College Point, NY first! :biggrin_25511: It's in Queens :biggrin_25521:. I've only been thru NYC so I guess my cherry will get popped. It actually doesn't look too bad. I will get to see LaGuardia International across the East River:biggrin_2559:

What I always do before heading in there is move the tandems almost all the way up...makes the turns a bit easier. Good luck in there, and watch out for the one ways...

And duck your head for all the low bridges...we don't want to see a Crete truck on CNN wedged under a bridge

Bridge height signs, if yellow actual height is 1 foot higher... white signs actual height. And the el, sags as the trains go by.

I got the truck back Friday afternoon, set my PTA fit Sat morning, got a 2 stop load from Ashtabula to Long Island. I grabbed the load and I'm back at Youngstown, I' ll spend tomorrow in the island and see if they can get me home for Christmas, not that I care to be home, but can't see sitting on a shag over the holidays. They did manage to give me a preplan that ran across northern Indiana, even thou I live in the southern most tip of the state. They'll let me tcall at new Kingston at least

No New York for me. I made it to St. Roberts, MO after beating the ice storm yesterday. Laid down for the night and there's no power to the bunk heater. 22:30 at night, 29* and I have no heat :biggrin_25516: Froze my tukus off. I made it to Indy. Sitten' in my hotel room at the Ramada. The way the mechanic was fussen' looks like it's a major hunt for a short. Somehow my tail lights are stuck on so there's a short somewhere :biggrin_25511:

The Crete directions have this as well. You might have wrote them...to Pepsi? Looking at the map and following the directions looks like there was only three turns after you crossed the George and got off of 678. Would have been an easy 100 bux!
haha those news casts are reserved for the "Not so's" what I call the Swift...not so swift ;)
Thanks man! I never would have known that one. I know in Chicago some say "Exactly" on the height signs(or something like that)
