MMR for May: 11, 689 miles with 5.3 days off. It's my best month so far this year and third month over 11K!
-
You beat me, you have to pay my $71 dinner bill for last night. I'll take care if the tip.
-
12063 miles last month.
-
I had the first 7 days of the month off, and managed to eke out 9,598 miles in May.
-
Despite 2 hometime days, 2 breakdown/go-recover-a-truck days and 3 days wasted sitting on freight because of dispatch error I still managed 9632 miles for the month. I guess I shouldn't complain too much...

Not knocking those miles but as a comparison when I was at Crete my 12 month avg was 12700. It was extremely unusual to drop below 12000 and that was with 6 days home time per month. There were exceptions like 2009 which was a dismal year. I didn't make my 121000 minimum until the last possible day and that was because I got a 2900 mile load from Albany Ga to Seattle, Wa.

All I can say is I've tried everything I can to get more miles. I communicate to no avail. I hustle to the point that I deliver an entire day early. I just seem to not get ahead because the next load sets me back in some way. Plus, things change. Even from last Year my length per load is shorter. I'm sure a lot of people used to get more miles now we just get more loads because each one is shorter.
xlsdraw Thanks this. -
The last 2 years I was there, staying out 325 days per year, my monthly average stayed below 10000 not matter how I tried to get more miles and I ran the gambit of attitude trying to get more...from playing nice to all but reaching thru the q/comm and grabbing the planners by the throat...nothing worked.
It is a totally different Crete than when you were there...that is why they had to go up on pay, trying to stop the flood of drivers from running for the door like their head was on fire and their arse was "a catchin' ".
