What crappiejunkie said but I do have 400 watt inverter. Home time has always been on time but I put my foot down when it's time to.

Did Crete go to each driver having their own driver manager( or whatever Crete calls them)? When I was there it was regional dispatch so you got handed off to whoever handled that neck of the woods.....except for nights and weekends when you could encounter the same knucklehead over and over

I suggest I-80 to US-15 south to 322 east. Easy running . It's about 30-35 miles longer than taking 322 from I-80. It's the way I like going. You can roll across 80 and then US 15 is mostly flat. Probably get there in same or even less time.

This msg is for Stungjoe btw.

thanks! I was hoping to avoid as many hills as possible. I might run 76 though to hit New Kingstown for the night on Friday. Then a quick run down to York from there

I think some of that message may be aimed my way, but I was just being realistic based on my (and many other) former Crete drivers experiences. I just think his expectations are a bit unrealistic. Knowing the vindictive and egotistical management over there like I do, I just pointed out that they weren't going to be the same company as when he left and that they were gona stick it to him. They believe that they are God's greatest gift to trucking, and leaving for something better is an insult to that belief...so coming back means that you are humbling yourself to them. Couple that with the list of other companies he has been with in an effort to cover an employment gap (his words), and that he has 3 years (listed on his info heading, not sure how accurate) that would make it even tougher for him to move on again...so they know they have him, and knowing Crete like I do...they most likely punish him for his lack of devotion the first time...I could be wrong...but remember the old saying about a leopard changing their spots.

TA at 232 is good for what's nearby... (which is a lot) the J at 215 is good if it's late and you need a spot. I've pulled in there ridiculously late and found spotS, numerous times.

I see your points here. I honestly didn't read all of that thread. I usually hit this one and sometimes the Poly one. I just took what he had written here and applied a generalization to the point about haters. Not meant to offend anyone as I have spoken with both of you guys and find you both to be good guys. I too am trying to get past some employment "hopping" I mean I worked for one place 25 years but then a fiver, and two one'rs in a row before taking time off and then a trip overseas to work in the desert of Afghanistan. So this past three years here at Crete have been helpful in that regard.

On another note! I'm in my favorite "porno" hotel near Perrysburg, OH It really is a nice hotel just south of the Petro. After a couple 14 hour days I decided to call it quits early since I don't have many hours and the whole rat's nest hotel debacle in Davenport. A nice slow roll to New Kingstown from here then York early Saturday. I hope for a load heading south as home time is coming up quickly.

no biggie...was raised to speak my mind by 'depression era' parents...sometimes my comments don't always come across right when typed and are taken wrong...anyway...you're a retired military vet yes? Or did you do the overseas trucking deal (Crete had a couple drivers take a year LOA and truck in Iraq, wasn't sure if Afganistan had a civilian trucking fleet too)
