I use three 400 watt inverters in my truck all day long. As for as a 1500 watt inverter, you'll have to get a doctor to write up an excuse for you to have one. Shouldn't be too hard.

It is not in my character to be a coward nor an Internet mudslinger. SSB, you enjoy the mudslinging while I detest it. My faith precludes me from such. To say you don't know me would be an understatement. You do hate on Crete. Hate blinds the heart. Why would you work for years for a company you despise? I would not. Those who have met me would not consider me desperate or weak but rather strong willed and intense. I addressed my perception of Crete's shortcomings on here and with their recruiter in a very strong fashion. Yet they still want me back. There was merit to my statements. I have the courage to take a stand and try to effect change. I served my country in my youth. I don't fear employers or fear for a job. And neither should anyone else. You have no idea of my financial standing. Your rhetoric concerning Crete is pathetic. Dump the hate and move on. Free up your heart dude.

Finally got a load picking up in Lewiston, ID that I will T-call in Lincoln, NE, then go take my physical, but it’s a midnight live load again. Thus, I will pick it up tonight and then go shut it down, as I got plenty of time on this load.

no military here. I worked in the security vetting arena. I was a BAT tech doing biometrics on Afghan and Paki truck drivers mostly. One duty station was the airport (nickname TLS for Taliban's Last Stand) where I did the same on any incoming TCN (third country national). I used to be able to say "Thank You" in seven languages..haha. As far as I know there were no civy or ex-pats trucking in Afghanistan. But I would not have seen them if there were. I did see a couple of Taliban (which actually translates to "student") and got to call the guards. But other than that it was a lot of boredom and watching movies..haha

it was my years of b.s. at Crete that turned me this way...and if you doubt that...look how positive my posts are about a company that DOES treat driver right...and the reason I didn't leave is because I didn't want to go thru what you are...and I am stubborn about a job...if things are bad enough for me to leave...I break out the can of gas and a box of matches and burn that bridge down. But the posting I read shows me something about you...and someone who doesn't stick to a company very long before jumping ship finds it hard to find the next job after a while...21 years of this so called industry has taught me that. You have as many or more trucking companies on your resume as i do...in what your info shows as 3 years out here. You're right, I don't know you...but I do know Crete...I know their tactics and their temperament...but I get the feeling you will never be satisfied trucking because most companies base their pay on not only total years of service, but years of service to them...and hoping from one to another will never get you a better paycheck, so you will never get the paycheck you think you deserve. In this industry you have to pay your dues and roll with the punches...every company has ups and downs. The posts I read just show a lack of commitment and a lack of patience...both of which are a must in trucking. It's like those 4-wheelers you see in a traffic jam...lane to lane to lane...and are no farther ahead.

best of luck...and start a new thread when you leave Crete again...the over/under is 36 months...my money is on 'under'

I was going to say...military service goes a long way when a perspective employer looks at your job history. But still a tough environment to work in...especially when many of the attacks in the so called safe areas came from the enemy dressed like a friendly.

and SLC rail yard...Crete is doing west coast rail now? I thought that they only did the Jax to South FL...

Not sure exactly where to where but there were several trlrs in the SLC yard marked for the rails.

I was in Kandahar at the airfield. We were pretty safe. I did see one rocket land about 50 to 100 yards from us. We were on the second story looking over the blast walls. We went downstairs shortly thereafter..haha We were spoiled in comparison to most places except for the Kabul area. I mean we had pizza places, shawarma take out (well most of them say "take away") even a TGIFridays!

They have a Deland terminal but not much southern Fla. Oh and I can pass Prime drivers, TMC and some Schneinder

I also found a toll calculator. From the Ohio entrance to Carlisle the Penn toll is almost $105 with the EZPass. So it looks like I will be going across 80.

No, we can't pass TMC. They are just slow enough to slow us down, but not slow enough that we can pass, unless there is no traffic for miles behind you.

Same goes for most Swift, JB Hunt, NFI, Con-Way Freight, TDC, Fraley & Schilling, Stephens Transport and Vitran... when I come up on any of those, or see one pass me as I'm merging on the highway, I can feel my blood pressure start rising.

The Con-Way guys particularly piss me off, because they will not hold back going downhill... I swear they must be trained to put those things in Georgia Overdrive... then they get in front of me only to be going 61.5 to my 62.
