Did you ask them for the Crete discount? It's always been $35+tax which is less than 41 bones all said.
-
Dang, I told them I was a Crete driver. I guess I should have asked for the discount

Bunk AC fixed for four bucks and change. Those 60A fuses just aren't as easy to see when checking as the smaller ones are. Stuck a new fuse in there, and I'm good to go.
I need younger eyes. -
Odd day today. Started at the J in Ehrenburg AZ late this morning and did my drop at WM in Buckeye expecting to get some eastbound freight out of Phoenix or maybe one of the mines in Central AZ like usual. Somehow I end up with a pickup 350 miles away in Victorville CA. I guess they're not booking much freight in AZ anymore. I guess I shouldn't complain since I wound up with a 1100 mile trip. Even better, I fully expected to spend the night parked outside the customers place in Victorville but I wound up with more time left than I planned and made it past Barstow to the Pilot at 395 and 58. I've never been able to get a spot here late night before and there were about 10 open spots when I pulled in at 0030. Maybe I'll get lucky and this trip will stay relatively painless.
48Packard Thanks this. -
Needed about 10 more minutes driving time to make it to Pineville today. Load doesn't have to be there to Tuesday anyway, so I made a small detour to the Pilot in Monroe for the night.
Even with 8 days off for vacation this month, I believe I'll still be just a bit north of 9000 miles for the month. -
I messaged three people today; breakdown, my terminal and my AM about this truck's bunk air going out during the night. It cools fine until it cycles off during the night then it will not come back on. It just blows hot air. In fact I open the bunk curtains and it's cooler up front than in the bunk! So I'm sitting in Satsuma, AL in store for another night of waking up every few hours to start the truck. I wished I had one of those auto start features about right now..haha They're supposed to be routing me through Lincoln to see if they can fix it. Although I'm heading to Owensboro for a live unload

Maybe they will have one of those new P/S's with the ISX engine when I finally do make it to Lincoln and I can just swap out. -
I would be pushing for some motel money...or calling safety because the intense heat is affecting the quality of your rest resulting in a fatigued driver.
or else they think they're helping with your weight loss program.48Packard Thanks this. -
Has anyone pulled a hazmat load lately? Wasn't hazmat endorsement required til recently? I only pulled 1 or 2. I remember the one from a mine in Southern Az.
-
I pulled one a couple months ago(load of paint) have only pulled 3 or 4 in my 6 years here.xlsdraw Thanks this.
