You may have a ways to go yet. I at 474k. Hopefully they won't try to fix what's not broken.

I don't get into the shops very often, maybe I can stay off their radar.

I stopped at Lenoir City today, it took 30 minutes to get thru the gate and convince the shop I wasn't getting a T 1, just to get some oil.

sure, I could have took my break there and got up extra early to drive 290 miles to my morning delivery. Now I have 70 miles to go in the morning.

the fuel guy was hounding a Shaffer driver to do the same.

I'm staying out if there from now on.

I got out of PA super easy this time, and not to ohio either.

I hope it works next time

Going by any of the terminals lately, it looks like the sell-off is slowing at a dramatic pace. So I heard, they were just trying to get rid of all the non-elog trucks, and elog trucks will trade out at 550 instead of 450. IDK... we'll see.

Since I have a late start today I thought I'd walk over to the Micky D's for a sausage burrito real quick like. Haha nope! I get over there and there's like 6 or 7 people waiting in line at one register. There's 12(yes I counted them) people behind the counter standing around looking back at us in line. You'd think one of them could man a register or at least get someone to. Heck one lady even pointed out the line of customers to the manager and she did nothing...haha Maybe some of them could qualify for dispatchers :biggrin_25525: (cheap shot but what the heck)

All of this is tongue and cheek humor. Just a funny observation.

EDIT: The guy behind me in line actually pointed it out to me so I wasn't the only one to notice it.

They're probably p/o'd because of their 2nd extension of the 2nd extension of their unemployment came to an end and they had to get some sort of job. And since they have been out of work for so long, a minimum wage fast food gig is all they were qualified for.

Hey, a job's a job. Don't knock it till you've tried it. I've worked at Taco Bell in the past and it wasn't terrible except for the pay. Then again this the job I killed the summer after high school with before I enlisted in the Army...

I spent last night at the SLC terminal. The road out front is all torn up. Yesterday when I arrived, you were entering and exiting on the West side of the building...today you have to use the East side drive. I had a Walmart delivery in Corrine, UT today, as soon as I was done, I got a load from Ogden to Alabaster, AL. Good miles and it keeps me busy over the holiday. Since I don't want to go home over it, this is great! 3 of my last 4 loads have been 1,200 or better (this one being 1,869). They end on Saturday or Sunday mostly though, so the weeks don't show great miles.:biggrin_25513:

I had a string of loads with those miles...then I was sent east :(

EDIT: I just checked this week's paycheck; 3628 miles. So those long runs eventually show up ;)
Also they did not pay me for driving from Corrine to the SLC to have their truck serviced ! I might have to inquire on that.

EDIT: I was paid for miles to shop. It was on the previous trip instead of next trip; my bad!
