    Just finishing up a helluva day... Kingsport TN to DuBois PA. 479 miles, 90% of it pulling hills between 81, 77, 79, 68 and US119. Aaaand it's 45k of roll stock. My only consolation is when I get to final in the next hour or so I already have my next preplan and I've lucked out. Managed to avoid the dreaded PA-OH loop that Crete loves so much, off to Omaha for Monday instead.

    Well, I made the Stuarts Draft to Edwardsville run, dropped the trailer about 1400 today. There was a bit of confusion about the trailer I was getting with the North Platte load on it. Guard house people told me trlr 837046 in space 1086...not there...I saw it in space 3013 when I was headed to space 3070 to drop my trailer. Called shipping and got it straightened out...I got 837046 out of space 3013 and hit the road. 15 tons of candy for Walmart!

    Well my AM was in today and swapped preplans for me. This one can tcall in Wilmer on Saturday. It was a sweet run though; La Grange, GA to El Paso! but I have a schedule to keep and taking that run was not an option.

    I did see something cool today. You know you've seen that poor car or minivan on the side of the road...you know the one with a long thin scratch mark on the road trailing right up to the missing wheel. Today I actually saw a wheel come off of a car and it veered left into the median. The wheel went across the oncoming lanes of traffic and into the woods. The car was right behind it doing the same. I had a very bad feeling until the car finally straightened out and steered back into the center of the median...phwweeeew that was scary!

    Oh and I actually had a fuel solution for a Petro and glad for it. I could only make the T/A in Meridian, MS with 4 minutes to spare on the clock. So now I can get a free shower.

    Two things I've learned the hard way;
    It's rarely a good idea to go back to a relationship once you've left.
    Telling someone something they don't want to hear isn't going to be received well.

    I run regional for another carrier and I've been stuck running back and forth between NJ and OH for the past few weeks now. I'll tell you it just flat out sucks, but the only way to really get off that "loop" and stretch my legs is to move over to our OTR fleet. That, however, means staying out 2 weeks (or more) and the wife will have none of that...lol
