Crete is wanting to get their $8000 investment out of you...one way or another...

Got to Walmart in North Platte, and dropped the candy load. I find they have no empties here...about 15 loaded trailers, so now I have to wait overnight to get one in the morning. Glad my next load is not picking up until 1600 tomorrow. (Or is it...they gave me a trailer number in the load info...it should be ready...) It really doesn't matter though...I don't have hours to get to the shipper today. Load is from Schuyler, NE to New London, WI.

I got my "3" sticker in the mail along with a card for my third anniversary with Crete. It's actually July 28th. I can then ask for my two weeks of vacation pay! :biggrin_255:

830 miles away from home and they "don't have anything more direct"

    that's crazy

They probably just don't want you deadheading far away to get you a better load towards your house.
The couple times I got a BS load I request a t-call and it work out for me.

For example I'm due for hometime, they sent me a load that picked up in PA on Friday delivering Monday which was 600 miles.
They first wanted me to delivery it however I said we're both losing time and money if I sit on this.
However along the route Lenoir city was 545 miles away, told them I could make it there around noon Saturday, could t-call it there and then head home from there which is an hour away for me.
They accepted it, saved me nearly two days of sitting on a load.

Sometimes you just gotta be on their butts about a more practical way that works for the both of you.

    48Packard and Onadetour Thank this.
