    Thanks guys! I think it's gonna be a sweet gig. 5 on 2 off then 5 on 3 off. That way they can slip seat two trucks between three guys. 12-14 hours a day (which is about what I'm doing now) but I get to sleep in my own bed at night. They will have RV spaces available on the yard so I won't even have to commute. Housing is crazy expensive in Midland right now but I have two options;
    Not sure if I'm getting this one:

    http://www.funtownrv.com/product/new-2014-forest-river-rv-wildwood-37reds-206338-29

    or this one:

    http://www.funtownrvsanangelo.com/inventory/354047/New-2014-Palomino-Puma-31_RDKS.aspx

    I spoke with my tax lady. If I get a travel trailer I can deduct the depriciation from my taxes plus I can deduct the rv space rent and I still get my per Diem exemption for the first 365 days. Once I reach 366 days it's considered my new permanent address. So all I have to do is move to Odessa and I get another 365 days..haha

    I made it to W Memphis. I decided to do a 34 and then do 10.5 hrs-0-drivin for the next three days. I will actually end up closer to the cons for a Sunday delivery and have more hours than I would running on re-cap. Since, as usual, they ran me slow when I came off of home time I'm not getting much back the next couple of days. I dropped the trailer at the W.Memphis drop yard and locked 'er up. I'm sitting dangerously close to that Southland Casino at the Days Inn. Always always always ask them for a better rate. I had Days Inn and Red Roof both offer the CLC rate but the Days Inn had a better TripAdvisor review and it looked better. Plus it's closer to tha Mexican place so I might try me a kids meal..haha Heck I'm fiddy now so maybe a senior citizens discount.

    Joe, enjoy that flow of money hauling crude... sounds like you are going to work for a company that I have experience with... Hope you get responsible truck partners, that keep the equipment clean, and repaired, and ones that like to stick to the 12 hours, if running day and night shifts. for when each driver starts running 14, that 5 days turns into 6 days, and you go from working days to working nights in 3 days... Are they running day and night shifts? if only running day shifts, then the rotating clock does not happen.

    It's just day shifts. Plus as the new trucks come in we will each be assigned our own truck. These guys are fairly new to crude but they do a bunch of CO2. They're 3rd party for now but are building their own yard, shop and storage tanks so they plan on having a future. All of the trucks are a year or so old or will br brand new and they run peoplenet elogs and dispatch. They have automatics in them so that will be something new for me. I have a friend who works for them in the Dallas area and he hooked me up. These guys are very laid back and just good ol Texas boys! Heck my new boss is from the town I was born in out in west Texas.

    Miles were one of the reasons I left. Since 2008, I tried everything to turn miles...but most years my monthly average never crossed 10k for the entire year, and I was on the road 325 days a year. And it isn't where you live because the only time I saw that area was when I would dare take a few days off. I went up the chain of command to various VP's and it only helped for a week or two, then back to the SOSDD. And the only time in the last 3 years I was there that I saw anywhere west of the Rockies was the week I was going through the interview and physical/drug screen for Poly so I could leave.

    well, not the company I was thinking of.... now if the are using the crude module for peoplenet, your life will be so easy, with logs... I don't know if I would want an automatic in the mud...
