I try to average 400 miles a day for every day I am not at home...note the phrasing....comes to around 10,800 a month (a little less for the months I take a week vacation), and that's plenty for me. I simply don't care to squeeze every mile out of every minute any longer. I've had better months, and I've had worse.

When I was with the pumpkin, a 10k month was rare for me. Others, not so much.

W moved to a Dallas suburb. He still has the W ranch...but he bought a multi-million dollar house in a gated community outside Dallas somewhere. Probably had a hard time finding secret service that would live full time that far away from civilization.

i ran 400 today, I could have run another 200 and been closer to
my delivery tomorrow, but with the loads I see lately, it wears me out to run that much.
When I had Bill for my ### man, I could run 650 miles a day, no problem.

just heard from realtor, one of five heirs to the land I want, doesn't like my offer. She wants me to pay about $300 more.
I wishes I was smarter, 300 divides by 5 are how much? And a cash offer to boot

I think he moved into Highland Park somewhere over by SMU. It was a big deal at the time since they changed the codes to allow him to buy two lots and combine them so he had some elbow room. He still has his ranch down in Crawford (more near central Texas than the MidlO Permian Basin).

Since I'm gonna be based in Midland I had to find housing in time for my training. I had my cousin talk to her cousin (on the other side of her family) who talked to her son who has a room I can rent (he needs help with bills) so for $500 I get two weeks in a nice house 9 miles from my new place of employment. The company does house trainees who will be based elsewhere but expects people to have housing in place before they hire someone for Midland. Don't really blame them since hotel room are upwards of $200 to $300 a night. Housing is pretty scarce as Midland-Odessa planners are smart enough to not just allow any and all building permits. Water is a rare commodity and over-expansion is a concern, just ask Atlanta...haha

I have my trip to Cali planned and it looks like 650 miles per day for three days..haha I did look at my BOL and it says FCFS 1000 to 1400 although my load assignment says 1000-1000 so I can have more time the day of delivery than I expected. Looks like I will be traiing for my new extended daily schedule :biggrin_2559:

If you keep running like that, you'll never get time to hang with Joe, SSB, W and me.

and buy some of those chocolate covered Idaho potatoes, yum.

I'll wrap up this week at about 2700 today (Thurs). Picking up a load here in TN in the morning and headed to Old Fort, OH, then tentatively planned to d/h to Columbus for an A service and get my AC serviced. Hoping for something out of Olf Fort that I can t-call at Columbus rather than deadheading....
