So I hear through the grapevine that Cretes Safety Dept is all but gone. The VP of Safety resigned and most of his staff went with him?

I've picked up so may loads at Social Circle that I couldn't tell you how many, but today I get the first one I've ever had to have reworked. Not really even close, 35000 on drives, 30000 on trailer. Not sure how long this might take.

That's a start. He was an incompetent drunk...most agreed that the only reason he still had a job was because he knew 'where the bodies were buried" and helped hang most of the skeletons in Tonn's closet.

If it's true, Cory better watch himself. We never thought they'd can ole' Texas T...she's gone...most figure Ray in safery would be there until he died...now he is gone (allegedly) Cory may be next

What makes you think any replacement will be better? The crap starts higher up.
Its not about safety. Its about pennies.

How often have you guys gotten paid on detention when following the instructions to follow?

I have yet to get paid on any since my time here, including once when I was detained 15 hours and the shipper (which was a drop and hook location) signed my detention form and all.

When I was there 1 in 10 got paid without a dozen phone calls. In fact it got to be such a bee och to get paid, I quit wasting ink. When I quit Crete, I threw away the original detention book I got when I was in orientation (almost 10 years earlier)

    ouch

I can't complain about miles so far, I'm a Shaffer driver but there were a few terrible detentions I had which I've yet to get paid for.
Even if they threw $40 at me for waiting 15 hours I'd appreciate it, just something to show they didn't forget about me.
