First full week of hauling crude is in the books. Not bad at $25/hr..haha One more short week as a check out and then I go to percentage pay. Oh and I found out our trucks are governed ....at 75MPH! :biggrin_2555:

I got yelled at twice the last month for accepting loads I couldn't deliver on time. We're just dumb drivers until we need to carefully examine the time on each load we get. If it's got miles on it and you give it to me, I'm just gonna accept most of the time, lol.

I sent a "load dispatched too late, impossible to deliver on time" message. I got the "turn the load down message" and the preplan voided. Then then same preplan and a message that read " from kevin-can you plz get this one going. when loaded send an eta. I have nothing left to pickup till tomorrow" BS

Really? I'm in Tomah, WI and I already drove 300 miles and this one picks up 133 miles away, going 1482 miles. HMMM? It's 10;30 and my pta is for 13:00.

I love Wisconsin, I rarely ever get up here, this is the 2nd time in 16 months. I was hoping to spend the weekend here.

    But I'll run the load.

I love it when they send a load that can't be done on time, and when I tell them I can't I get a "you're our best option" message....

the problem is, you'll accept, send an eta, then when the regular shift comes back after the holiday and you haven't delivered by the original delivery appointment...they'll go off like it's your fault because the weekend/holiday crew didn't pass the info on when they left. Seen 'em do it all the time there. Good luck

Need to hunt down a wooden crutch, some of your oldest and torn up clothes, a piece of cardboard and a sharpie. Then stand at an intersection with a "will work for craps money" sign...with the crutch under one arm. :biggrin_25517:

just tell him to put the authorization for your late delivery on the q/comm. If he insists you must accept and make it on time then tell him to put the authorization to run over legal hours on the q/comm...when that kind of language is used...they get less insistent and pushy.
