Me to. The last 2 trucks I had over there were Maxxfarce powered and nothing but trouble. My 1st truck over here at Poly was Cummins powered, and except for a bad control on the variable turbo nozzle, I had very little problems with the engine...the a/c died 3 times...then they put me in this Maxxfarce powered truck...and I have a list of issues if it makes it back to the shop.

get your mind prepared to sign your name and SS number about 350 times and no I'm not exaggerating as other drivers here know.

for 2-3 days.. endless hours of signing your name and SS number, it's crazy.
It puts the paperwork of buying a house to shame, that's like a childplay lunch break compared to Cretes orientation.

I gotta ? for you Crete drivers, I haven't been here long so I don't know everything yet.

I'm about to request home time off by a terminal to visit family, being I'll have been out in the truck for a month straight.. I want to make the most of my visit.
I know the supposed rule is 4 days max but like other rules here they don't follow them all.
Being I've been out a month do you think it would be an issue if I took 5 days off?

From your experience of course would be most helpful.
    Thanks

It'd be easier to call your terminal and ask.

If they'd send a preplan before I sent my empty call, these loads might deliver on time.
yesterday I followed Crete's suggested route, rather than the practical route any sane person would take (only 45 miles longer)
But it was a beautiful drive on Hwy 89 in WY and UT. A road along a blue lake, up a steep mountain and then a slow winding 2 lane road thru a canyon. And the hundreds of people behind slow me wanting to get home.

i almost stayed a Little America, but I'd ruther run that road in the daylight. And I didn't want to watch the Swift driver transfer a full trailer full of Arm and Hamor into another trailer, with a pallet jack. In his broken English he said he hit a pole pulling in here. The tandems were askewed and the DOT bumper bent back, it was even on the drivers side. "Askewed"

I saw that Swift driver at Little America when I scaled my current C+D load after pickup on Sunday night... he's still stuck there? That's gotta be Swifts way of getting back at him for screwing up that trailer. And he did a number on it too. I can't recall ever seeing an ICC bumper bent up that way before. Also, if I pulled something that stupid I probably wouldn't park in front of the fuel islands with my triangles telling everyone to stare at me :biggrin_25523:

About 15;00 Monday a daycab with a rollback trailer pulled in with 2 pallet jacks, a forklift and a dolly like they use for hauling doubles. A big wrecker was there too, I guess the wrecker was going to use the dolly to pull the trailer, once they got it empty.

Think it'd be way cheaper to have him hobble back to C&D and let them unload the trailer.

Getting my repairs done in Deland, I figure I should get my inverter installed, since I have my doctors note officially saying I'm a fatty. I was already annoyed that I had to jump through hoops instead of just handing someone the Doctors note, needing to inform them and give detailed model and usage information before getting one, they told me it would cost 900 dollars. NINE HUNDRED ####### DOLLARS?!? I bought a 1500 Watt cobra for 100 last year. This is BS. I can't even recommend people come here anymore. The payscale is the only one up these guys have, and that's not as high as it was before. This company has dicked me around more in 2 months than my other 2 companies did the rest of my time driving.

I am convinced that this company hates drivers, and just uses a higher rate to get people onboard in order to screw them over. I won't be here long.
