With both Knight and Crete I have spoken with drivers that were on at least their 4th stretch with their company. They all claim to have come back at the same pay rate. My Florida terminal manager is the one who told me of the 6 month window to come back. I guess Vacation wouldn't be an accurate description nor Leave of Absence. You are actually resigning. You simply maintain a productive status with the company and then give at least a 2 weeks resignation notice. If asked, you can state burnout or whatever as long as it's not too critical of the company. One of the guys lives near Daytona and goes back to the Caribbean where he is from for two months each year. I'm sure companies and recruiters are not going to tell you up front as a potential hire that such policies exist because they'd prefer we all work 300+ days a year but with the constant need for productive drivers there is a tolerance as long as you don't torch the bridge on the way out. If you need company insurance and benefits it wouldn't work for you.

I'm soo tired of these cheap trucks, they're everywhere these days.
I've been driving for a year, two different companies and both I had a cheap freightshaker.
The distributor for interior parts for Freightliner is the Dollar Store.
My lunch box I bought at Walmart has higher quality plastic than in this truck.
Everything falls apart in here...
Even the speakers, after every bump my speakers go off but return once I hit another bump.
Ridiculous

Yep, even Velcro brand, Industrial Velcro hates a Prostar, rubbing alcohol, brake cleaner, nothing can clean it. I don't have a problem with the Velcro laying flat on the dash, for some reason it holds.
Knock on wood, 180,000 on the Maxforce and no engine issues, other than heater hoses seeping coolant, Really the only problem I had with this truck is the washer tank leaked, I had to put in 4 gallons of fluid before I got it replaced during a B service. Knock on wood, knock on wood.
I thank God that fuel stabilizer works, I have 2 chainsaws, not started for 6 plus years, dumped the old gas out and put new in, cranked a little and let sit an hour or so. Both fired up without pulling the plug.
Almost had a heart attack while buying a new plastic gas can, Really? $18 for a 2 gallon can with a leaky new improved environmentally friendly spout.
My new asset manager that I never knew transferred to a new job at Crete, (hopefully not in safty, as that's where they put the re tards) so, the long loads might disappear for now.
Here, however, this will stick to the dash
