    well of course

    cheap crete

bet they'd get more drivers if they had some nicer trucks
I'd take a small pay cut to be in a better truck.

They ended up opening my fuel card for wherever I could use it. I planned to get to Bismarck, ND and fuel....but 15 miles before I got there, at exit 147 on I-94, what do I see? The Family truck stop with a Flying J sign on the ground being prepared for installation.

I pull in, and FJ has the fuel there now, and is building showers onto the facility. Management says the sit-down family restaurant is staying, as is the Subway and pizza. Nice staff, ginormous parking. I grabbed a sandwich after fueling.

Picking up in Wahpeton, ND in the morning headed to Stanley, VA for Monday. First time since 1996 I've been to ND, and I was not disappointed. Nice people (first question from the receiver at the beer distributor I delivered to this morning: Need a restroom? I'll show you where it is."). Also thanked me for being courteous enough to pick up the broken seal after cutting it and for speaking English! And the drivers up here seem to respect trucks....they give way and....horrors!!....signal lane changes!

Not a bad day, especially considering all my winter gear is safe, warm, and dry....in my bedroom closet at home. Totally forgot to put it in my truck last time home. Thank goodness I always keep my Carhartt coat with me. Geez.....

One of the biggest issues with USX is that they pay HHG miles instead of a more accurate mileage. The per mile rate, actually almost exactly the same as Crete. As a one year driver, I'd make the same at USX, per mile, if I stayed out 4 weeks, compared to the 3 necessary here. Otherwise, I'd make 40, which is one cpm less than here. Crete's payscale isn't really that far ahead of the other guys anymore, I've mentioned that before. For the kind of BS this company throws on us, I think we need another raise soonish. There was a 2CPM raise this year. How much did Swift raise their pay..?

I'm pretty disappointed with crete the last 3 weeks been
Pretty bad for me im usually
    Getting 2800 miles a week if I have a 70
The last 3 weeks have been 2400,2100,2300
Told my asset manager things need to change
And also said that I want freight heading west all I have
Done is northeast to indiana or Ohio runs the last 10 days
If this continues I'm going to ask for something regional or run 2-3 weeks and go home

"per mile rate, actually almost exactly at Crete"

I have some proof that is BS buddy.

Experienced OTR TOP pay is UP TO .435 CPM

    http://www.usxjobs.com/truck-driver-jobs/company-truck-drivers/pay-benefits/

I earned that amount with less than one year experience at Crete.
We do get paid practical mile and extra pay for dispatches under 200 miles.
There are guys here earning .50 CPM a mile, I met them.

I'm don't like these garbage trucks and the Northeast runs but at least we're paid better than most all for what it is.
